I am a researcher, technologist, and consultant currently based in Vienna, Austria, where I work as a Postdoctoral Researcher at TU Wien. My work is situated at the intersection of information systems, technology, and society, with a particular focus on how emerging digital technologies shape social outcomes and organizational practices.
My research examines topics such as artificial intelligence, digital platforms, and automated decision-making, with an emphasis on issues of trust, safety, and responsible technology design. I am especially interested in persuasive and conversational AI systems, online harms such as radicalization and misinformation, and the governance challenges that arise when technologies increasingly mediate public discourse. Methodologically, my work combines experimental research, qualitative inquiry, and design-oriented approaches, including value-sensitive design.
Through this work, I aim to contribute to the development of responsible information systems that strike a balance between innovation and ethical, social, and institutional considerations.
I am currently working on a research programme that investigates and designs AI-based conversational agents as persuasive technologies for value-sensitive contexts. The project examines how dialogue-based AI systems can be designed to trigger deliberative engagement, support reflective judgment, and promote ethical decision-making without undermining user autonomy or trust.
Substantively, the project addresses societal and organizational challenges arising from the deployment of AI in sensitive domains. Application areas include responsible content moderation, trust and safety interventions, and the mitigation of harmful online behaviors such as disinformation, influence operations, and online radicalization. The project combines conceptual work on ethical and persuasive system design with empirical and experimental methods to evaluate effectiveness, legitimacy, and user acceptance.
